Systems Engineer

**Description** SAIC is seeking a **Systems Engineer** to support the Office of the Under Secretary of War for Research and Engineering (OUSW(R&E)). This role requires an active Secret clearance and provides hybrid work flexibility, with on-site support required at the Mark Center in Alexandria, VA. **Responsibilities:** + Support systems engineering activities across requirements analysis, architecture development, and technical integration. + Develop system-level documentation including requirements, interface definitions, technical specifications, and engineering plans. + Evaluate system performance, identify risks or gaps, and recommend technical solutions.Coordinate with stakeholders to capture mission needs and translate them into actionable system requirements. + Assist in systems planning, trade studies, engineering reviews, and technical assessments.Provide technical support for capability development, modernization efforts, and technology transition activities. + Prepare engineering briefings, reports, and decision-support materials for senior leadership. **Qualifications** **Required Qualifications:** + Active Secret clearance. + US citizenship **Education** + Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Engineering Management, Computer Science, or a related technical field. + Equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. **Experience:** + 3-5 years of experience in systems engineering, system integration, or technical program support. + Experience developing requirements, conducting analysis, or supporting systems architecture activities. + Familiarity with systems engineering frameworks, methodologies, or lifecycle processes. + Experience supporting technical or government programs. + Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. **Technical Skills:** + Experience with requirements management tools or modeling environments (e.g., DOORS, Cameo, SysML).
