M&M Industries is a U.S.-based manufacturer of plastic pails and packaging solutions. We operate in a fast-paced manufacturing environment where accuracy, safety, and teamwork are critical to keeping production running smoothly.
The Inventory Clerk is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, monitoring material and supply levels, and supporting efficient material flow throughout the facility. This role plays an important part in cycle counting, physical inventory audits, discrepancy resolution, and continuous improvement of inventory processes. The Inventory Clerk works closely with material handling, forklift, and production teams to ensure inventory accuracy and operational efficiency.
Schedule: A Shift, 7:00AM - 7:00PM, 2-2-3 rotating schedule with every other weekend off.
This role follows a structured progression schedule based on performance and tenure: Step 1 (Trainee): $17.56/hr
Step 2 (90 Days): $18.08/hr
Step 3 (1 Year): $18.60/hr
Step 4 (2 Years): $19.13/hr
Step 5 (3 Years): $19.65/hr Key Responsibilities Follow all safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe work environment
Perform assigned cycle counts and reconciliations within the inventory system
Complete physical inventory audits and document discrepancies or issues
Assist with system analysis and process clarification related to component usage
Suggest process improvements and cost-saving opportunities related to cycle counting
Maintain a clean and organized work environment in accordance with 5S principles
Audit designated inventory areas and support approved process improvements
Assist in training new employees on inventory control processes and scan gun usage
Serve as a subject matter expert for inventory processes, cleanliness, safe storage, and daily inventory control functions
Support Material Handlers and Forklift Operators in resolving issues to keep inventory moving and production flowing
Perform other duties as needed Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Highly organized with strong attention to detail
Ability to use handheld scanners (scan guns)
Basic computer skills
Working knowledge of inventory and scan gun operations Education High School Diploma or GED required Experience One (1) or more years of experience in material handling, receiving, warehousing, or shipping
One (1) or more years of experience in cycle counting and computer-based transaction analysis Physical Requirements Ability to work in a manufacturing environment that may include hot or cold conditions
Ability to wear required PPE at all times (safety glasses, hearing protection, etc.)
