Job Description
Structural Engineer – Building Inspection & Design
A well-established consulting engineering firm is seeking a Structural Engineer to support building inspections, evaluations, and structural design projects. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys a mix of field work and office-based design, working on a variety of commercial, institutional, and industrial structures.
Responsibilities: Perform structural inspections and condition assessments of existing buildings
Prepare detailed reports outlining findings, deficiencies, and repair recommendations
Design structural systems for new construction and rehabilitation projects
Develop calculations, drawings, and specifications
Coordinate with architects, contractors, and clients
Assist with forensic investigations and structural evaluations as needed Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
4+ years of relevant experience in structural design and/or inspections
PE license or ability to obtain is preferred
Experience with concrete, steel, masonry, and wood design
Strong report writing and communication skills
