Job Title: AMI 2.0 Metering Engineer

Location: Westminster, CA (Hybrid-2days Tue & Thu)

Pay Rate: $40/hr-$48/hr on W2 (All Inclusive)

Type: Contract

Duration: 6+ Months

Shift: M-F 08.00 AM to 05.00 PM PST

Position Summary

Education Requirement

· Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.

Key Responsibilities

· Support validation, testing, and deployment of AMI 2.0 metering solutions.

· Collaborate with internal teams and metering vendors to ensure technical feasibility, interoperability, and quality assurance.

· Conduct hardware, functionality, integration, and system testing for metering solutions and grid management applications.

· Troubleshoot AMI technologies, customer applications, and field tools.

· Support AMI 2.0 field pilot initiatives, deployment readiness, and foundational use cases.

· Develop procedures, job aids, and documentation for Field Technicians and Meter Operations.

· Support stakeholder coordination, change management, and pre-deployment activities.

Required Skills

· 5+ years of experience in metering systems, smart grid technologies, or related engineering roles.

· Strong knowledge of AMI systems, interoperability standards, and testing methodologies.

· Experience working in lab environments and cross-functional teams.

· Excellent communication, troubleshooting, and documentation skills.

Preferred Skills

· Familiarity with utility operations and stakeholder coordination.

· Experience supporting field deployments and technician enablement.
