Requirements of the Structural Engineer:
One Tech Engineering is searching for a Structural Engineer for a position located in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. The Structural Engineer will support multi-year hydroelectric facility projects, including dam reconstruction and upgrades.
The candidate must be a US citizen or hold a green card. The candidate should have 5–7 years of structural engineering experience.
Structural Engineer Responsibilities:- Lead and oversee heavy structural steel and reinforced concrete work, including staged in-water installations.
- Coordinate with and ensure compliance on projects regulated by the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC).
- Serve as the on-site technical liaison, resolving field issues and ensuring construction quality and adherence to design specifications.
Requirements of the Structural Engineer:
- Bachelor’s degree in Structural Engineering or related field.
- 5–7 years of structural engineering experience.
- Strong experience in heavy structural engineering, including concrete and steel design and construction.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, with extensive experience using SharePoint.
- Ability to open and review native CAD files (MicroStation preferred).
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Previous experience working with hydroelectric facilities, dams, or in-water construction projects.
- Experience with FERC-regulated projects preferred.
- Professional Engineer (PE) or Engineer-in-Training (FE) certification is a plus.
