Job Description
SAAB, a global defense and security leader, is seeking an Electrical Engineering Manager within our Engineering, Maintenance & Asset Management department. You will lead a team developing and sustaining advanced defense and aerospace systems, overseeing electrical design, reliability, and lifecycle maintenance. Lead and manage a team of electrical and systems engineers delivering defense and aerospace solutions
Oversee requirements analysis, electrical architecture definition, detailed design, simulation, prototyping, and testing
Ensure designs meet relevant military, aerospace, safety, and EMC/EMI standards and customer requirements
Plan and manage engineering work packages, including schedules, resources, and technical risk mitigation
Review and approve engineering artifacts, including schematics, layouts, analyses, and test reports
Collaborate with systems, mechanical, software, maintenance, manufacturing, and quality teams to deliver integrated solutions
Support maintenance and asset management through reliability analysis, diagnostics strategies, and obsolescence management
Drive continuous improvement in design practices, tools, verification methods, and lifecycle cost optimization
Mentor and develop engineering staff, fostering a collaborative and innovative team culture
Participate in proposals, estimates, technical reviews, and customer or stakeholder meetings as a technical leader

Professional Engineer (PE) license in Electrical Engineering or equivalent regional registration
Security clearance eligibility as required for defense projects
Experience with MIL‑STD, DO‑160, and other defense/aerospace standards
Certification in systems engineering (e.g., INCOSE ASEP/CSEP) is a plus
Project management certification (e.g., PMP or PRINCE2) is a plus
