Driver CDL

GXO Logistics invites applications for the position of CDL Driver, a crucial role within our logistics and transportation operations. As pioneers in the logistics sector, we seek a responsible CDL Driver to help us continue delivering exceptional service and efficiency. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in safe vehicle operation, adhering to all transportation laws and maintaining the fleet's impeccable condition. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure timely and safe delivery of goods to predetermined customers on specific routes, review orders prior to delivery, load and unload cargo, and provide exceptional customer service.
Transport goods and raw materials over land to and from manufacturing plants or retail and distribution centers
Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues, performing preventative maintenance
Plan routes and meet delivery schedules
Document and log work/rest periods and kilometers spent driving and retain fuel/toll receipts
Comply with truck driving rules and regulations as well as with company policies and procedures
Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions
Collect and verify delivery instructions
Report defects, accidents, or violations
Strong driving skills and familiarity with driving regulations
Ability to drive long hours and travel regularly
Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations
No recent moving or driving violations
Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions etc.)
