Job Description
Performance Food Group is seeking a reliable Delivery Driver to support our Food & Beverage Operations within the Transportation & Logistics department. Based out of our local distribution center, you will safely operate company vehicles to deliver food and related products to restaurants, retail locations, and vending customers on scheduled routes. Responsibilities include accurate loading and unloading, verifying orders, maintaining delivery documentation, and providing excellent, friendly customer service. You will also inspect vehicles, follow DOT and safety regulations, and represent PFG’s culture of teamwork, high performance, and passionate service on every route.
Safely operate company delivery vehicles on assigned routes
Load, unload, and deliver food and related products to customers
Verify orders, obtain signatures, and maintain delivery documentation
Inspect vehicle daily and report maintenance or safety issues
Follow all DOT, company, and food safety regulations
Provide professional, friendly customer service at each stop
Handle products to minimize damage, loss, and returns
Use routing tools or GPS to optimize delivery sequences
Communicate delivery issues or delays to dispatch/management
Represent Performance Food Group’s culture and values on every route
Commercial driving and vehicle operation
Route planning and navigation (GPS, routing tools)
Knowledge of DOT and hours-of-service regulations
Safe lifting, loading, and unloading techniques
Basic truck/vehicle inspection and safety checks
Order verification and documentation handling
Time management and route efficiency
Customer service and client communication
Use of handheld scanners or delivery apps
Basic understanding of food safety and product handling

Valid state driver’s license with clean driving record
Commercial Driver’s License (CDL A or B) preferred, depending on vehicle
DOT medical certification, as required
Forklift or pallet jack certification a plus
