Electromechanical Assembler

The Electrical Assembler builds electrical and mechanical products to completion by following detailed electrical drawings, schematics, and fabrication prints. This role supports the full assembly and final integration of products, working both independently and in collaboration with team members from other departments. The position follows a defined production schedule, adheres to ISO 9001 quality requirements, and complies with established safety, quality, and environmental policies. **Responsibilities** + Assemble electrical and mechanical products to completion by following electrical drawings, schematics, and fabrication prints. + Read and interpret complex electrical and mechanical assembly prints to ensure accurate builds. + Perform electrical assembly, including wiring, low-voltage work, and integration of components such as switchgear and switchboards. + Carry out mechanical assembly tasks, including fitting, fastening, and physical assembly of parts. + Work independently while following a production schedule to meet deadlines and output targets. + Collaborate with team members from other departments to complete cross-functional tasks as required. + Communicate clearly with Shop Leads regarding product quality, production status, and schedule updates. + Assist coworkers with additional tasks and projects as assigned to support overall shop productivity. + Participate in regular shop cleanup activities to maintain a safe, organized, and efficient work area. + Operate at all times within the requirements of an ISO 9001 Quality System. + Follow company safety, quality, and environmental policies to maintain compliance with operational and regulatory standards. + Remain aware of and comply with all environmental and safety policies and regulations while consistently performing duties to high-quality standards. + Provide direction to others on how to assemble tasks and, when needed, lead a small crew in completing assembly work. **Essential Skills** + Ability to read and interpret complex electrical and mechanical assembly prints and schematics. + Proven mechanical aptitude and strength in the physical assembly of parts and components. + Familiarity with electrical wiring and electrical assembly practices, including low-voltage systems. + Experience with electrical and mechanical assembly processes, including final product integration. + Ability to direct others on assembly tasks and lead a crew when required. + Advanced knowledge and confident use of hand tools commonly used in electrical and mechanical assembly. + Ability to work independently while following a defined production schedule. + Strong communication skills to coordinate with Shop Leads and team members on quality and production matters. + Commitment to following safety, quality, and environmental policies and procedures. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience working with switchgear, switchboards, and related electrical equipment. + Fabrication processes related to electrical and mechanical assemblies. + Familiarity with ISO 9001 Quality Systems and working in a structured quality-focused environment. + Experience in a unionized production or manufacturing setting. + Comfort working in a growing organization and adapting to evolving processes and product lines. **Job Type & Location** This is a Permanent position based out of Kearny, NJ. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $41600.00 - $52000.00/yr. union opportunity
