Construction Project Manager (Solar, BESS & EV Charging – C&I)
Our client is seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to lead C&I solar, BESS, and EV charging projects across multiple U.S. markets.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage projects from pre-construction through closeout
- Oversee permitting, AHJ coordination, and approvals
- Coordinate engineering resources and subcontractors
- Support utility interconnection processes
- Manage schedules, budgets, and forecasts
- Review contracts, RFIs, submittals, and change orders
- Oversee procurement, equipment, and vendor sourcing
- Serve as main point of contact for clients and stakeholders
- Ensure compliance with codes, standards, and safety
- Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies
Requirements
- 5-10+ years managing C&I solar, BESS, or EV projects
- Strong construction and energy systems knowledge
- Experience with interconnection, permitting, and AHJs
- Proven subcontractor and vendor management experience
- Experience with estimating, cost control, and take-offs
- Proficiency with tools like Procore, MS Project
- Degree in construction, engineering, or related field
- PMP certification preferred
Location & Schedule
- Multi-state project work with travel as needed
- Hybrid flexibility
- Initial 3–6 months based in Martinez, CA
