Job Description
JARP Industries Inc is seeking a Hone Machine Operator to support our Manufacturing & Production team. In this on-site role, you will set up, operate, and maintain honing equipment to produce precision components for custom welded hydraulic cylinders and systems. Responsibilities include reading blueprints, selecting tooling, performing in‑process inspections with precision gauges, and documenting results to meet strict quality standards. Set up, operate, and monitor honing machines to meet precise specifications and tolerances
Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and measurement data to determine machining requirements
Select and install proper tooling, abrasives, fixtures, and fluids for each job
Perform in‑process and final inspections using calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and other precision instruments
Adjust machine settings to correct defects and ensure quality, throughput, and safety standards are met
Document production data, inspection results, and maintenance activities in accordance with company procedures
Perform routine machine cleaning, lubrication, and minor preventive maintenance
Collaborate with engineers, supervisors, and teammates to resolve issues and improve processes
Follow all safety, 5S, and quality standards in a manufacturing environment
Support continuous improvement, lean practices, and cross‑training within Manufacturing & Production
Honing machine operation
CNC or manual machining fundamentals
Blueprint reading
Use of precision measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, bore gauges)
Geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) basics
Mechanical aptitude and equipment troubleshooting
Hydraulic cylinder or component machining familiarity
Quality inspection and documentation
Basic machine setup and changeover
Adherence to safety and 5S/lean manufacturing practices
