Job Description
As Maintenance Manager at Drax, you will lead maintenance and asset care for critical energy & utilities infrastructure within the Engineering, Maintenance & Asset Management team. You’ll own preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs, ensuring safe, reliable plant performance that supports Drax’s zero-carbon mission. Partnering with engineering and operations, you’ll optimize asset lifecycle, manage contractors, control budgets, and drive continuous improvement in reliability, safety, and sustainability in an inclusive, empowering culture.
Lead maintenance strategy across energy generation assets to maximize reliability and uptime
Manage, mentor, and schedule a multi-disciplinary maintenance team
Oversee preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance using CMMS/EAM tools
Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards
Plan maintenance budgets and optimize asset lifecycle costs
Coordinate maintenance support for engineering projects and outages
Drive continuous improvement through RCM, RCA, and data-driven decision-making
Collaborate with Engineering and Asset Management on long-term asset plans
Manage contractors and vendors to meet quality and safety expectations
Report on asset performance, KPIs, and maintenance effectiveness to leadership
