Summary:
The Material Handler I is responsible for supporting shipping, receiving, storage, order fulfillment, and inventory control operations within the distribution facility. This role ensures accurate processing of materials and finished goods while maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and customer service. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
Responsibilities:
- Pick, pack, sort, arrange, count, store, and process materials for storage and shipment according to established procedures and customer requirements.
- Receive incoming materials and finished goods, verifying quantities, quality, and supporting documentation.
- Safely operate distribution and warehouse equipment as required.
- Perform inventory transactions and data entry using DELL tablets and warehouse systems.
- Follow Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) guidelines and complete required training programs.
- Respond to inquiries from customer service and other departments regarding order fulfillment and shipment status.
- Maintain inventory accuracy and support warehouse organization efforts.
- Assist in identifying and resolving minor operational issues to ensure workflow efficiency.
- Support continuous improvement efforts while maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
Required Skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Basic knowledge of shipping, receiving, inventory control, and warehouse operations.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Basic computer and data entry skills.
- Ability to understand, interpret, and analyze operational metrics.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong attendance and reliability.
- Warehouse and distribution environment.
- Frequent standing, walking, lifting, and material handling activities.
- Use of warehouse equipment and mobile technology devices.
- Compliance with all safety procedures and company policies required.
