Construction Project Engineer
Job Description
Haynes Development is seeking an experienced Project Engineerwith drive, passion, and energy. This position assists the Construction Project Manager in the building of both residential and commercial properties - as well as site preparation.
Project Engineer will assist the project manager in the total construction effort to ensure projects are constructed in accordance with design, budget and schedule. This includes but not limited to:
- Project Planning and Development
- developing and reviewing project plans, blueprints and technical specifications
- assisting in the the creation of project schedules and budgets
- contributing to feasibility studies and risk assessments
- Technical Support and Guidance
- providing technical expertise and guidance to project teams and subcontractors
- resolving technical issues that arise during the project lifecycle
- ensuring compliance with engineering standards and building codes
- Coordination and Communications
- coordinating with project managers, architects, contractors, and other stakeholders
- facilitating communication between different teams and departments
- maintaining clear and accurate project documentation
- Quality Control and Assurance
- conducting site inspections and monitoring construction progress
- ensuring that work meets quality standards and specifications
- implementing quality control procedures and addressing deficiencies
- Resource Management
- assisting in the management of materials, equipment and resources
- monitoring project costs and tracking expenses
- ensuring efficient use of resources
- Safety Compliance
- ensuring compliance with safety regulations and protocols
- promoting a safe working environment
- helping to enforce safety procedures
- Must have a minimum of 4 years construction (vertical) and/or civil) project engineering experience.
- Must be able to manage multiple and diverse assignments, work independently and meet deadlines with limited supervision.
- Must be able to apply innovative and effective techniques to maximize performance.
- Must have a thorough understanding of corporate and industry practices, processes, standards, etc. and their impact on project activities.
- Must have superior communication and interpersonal (tact, diplomacy, influence, etc.) skills.
- Must be open to work from a jobsite if needed.
- Ideal basic Microsoft project knowledge or other related software.
