Job at a Glance:
Title: Software Engineer
Location: Strongsville, OH only (5 days onsite)
Contract: W2 only
Overview
Continuously monitor production systems and applications for performance issues or errors, and promptly troubleshoot and resolve identified problems. This role involves tuning PL/SQL and queries, scheduling and supporting automated workflows, and performing Go-Live production activities to ensure smooth and seamless deployments.
Key Responsibilities

  • Continuously monitor production systems and applications for performance issues or errors, and promptly troubleshoot and resolve identified problems.
  • Tuning PL/SQL Blocks & queries using hints and utilities such as DBMS_PROFILER, Explain Plan.
  • Familiar with UNIX functions and writing Shell Scripts, Scheduling jobs using Cron tabs and CA7 scheduler.
  • Analysis, design and development of modules and troubleshooting job failures involving Oracle, PL/SQL, Informatica, SQL and Python, Axiom controller view and Connect Direct (NDM).
  • Debug the data related issues and fix the defects raised by the Testing team and Business team in various regulatory reports and prepare the deployment plan.
  • Analyze application and server logs to identify issues in various environments and resolve it.
  • Collecting, analyzing CPU and memory utilization data from various sources (servers, applications, etc.) and recommend to adjust application settings, upgrade hardware, or optimize the code based on the analysis of collected data.
  • Perform Go-Live Production activity to have smooth and seamless deploy to production environment for various application objects including PL/SQL packages, unix scripts, Axiom controller view objects, Sql and Python.
  • Create Incidents, Change Requests, release documentation, support procedures to ensure smooth transitions with minimal downtime.
  • Respond to and manage incidents and outages, ensuring minimal disruption to services, user impact and assist in on-call duties
