Job Description
Methodist Health System is seeking a skilled CT Tech to perform high-quality CT imaging in a fast-paced hospital setting. The CT Technologist will prepare and position patients, operate CT equipment, follow radiation safety standards, and support accurate diagnosis for providers. This role collaborates closely with radiologists, nurses, and physicians, maintaining compassionate patient care, detailed documentation, and adherence to Methodist’s values of integrity, accountability, and teamwork while supporting 24/7 imaging services.
Perform CT examinations according to physician orders and department protocols
Prepare, position, and monitor patients to ensure comfort and safety
Operate CT scanners and related imaging equipment accurately and safely
Administer or assist with contrast media per policy and patient assessment
Adhere to radiation safety and infection control standards
Evaluate images for quality and work with radiologists on needed repeats
Document procedures, maintain accurate records, and utilize PACS/RIS
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary teams
Educate patients and families about procedures and address concerns
Assist with on-call, evening, weekend, or holiday coverage as needed
CT imaging procedures
Patient positioning and immobilization
Operation of CT scanners and imaging equipment
Radiation safety and dose optimization
Contrast administration and IV access
Anatomy and pathology recognition on CT
Use of PACS/RIS and EMR systems
Infection control and safety protocols
Emergency response and patient monitoring
Clinical documentation and workflow management

Current ARRT (R) certification
ARRT (CT) advanced certification (or obtained within 12 months)
State of Texas Medical Radiologic Technologist license (or equivalent)
Current BLS certification
ACLS preferred
Experience with hospital PACS/RIS systems
