Job Description
Methodist Health System seeks a skilled CT Tech to perform high-quality CT imaging for diverse patient populations in our Healthcare & Medical Services department. Responsibilities include safely positioning patients, operating CT scanners, following physician protocols, and maintaining accurate documentation. The CT Tech collaborates closely with radiologists, nurses, and physicians, upholding our culture of integrity, compassion, and accountability. Perform CT scans according to physician orders and departmental protocols
Verify patient identity, obtain history, and explain procedures to ensure comfort and safety
Position patients and operate CT equipment to obtain optimal diagnostic images
Apply radiation safety and ALARA principles for patients and staff
Monitor patients during and after procedures, reporting changes to clinical staff
Prepare and administer oral or IV contrast per protocol and scope of practice
Document procedures, images, and patient information accurately in PACS/EMR
Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and providers to support timely diagnoses
Maintain and troubleshoot CT equipment; report service needs promptly
Adhere to Methodist Health System policies, infection control, and quality standards
CT scanner operation
Cross-sectional anatomy knowledge
Patient positioning
Radiation safety and ALARA
IV access and contrast administration
PACS and EMR proficiency
Aseptic and infection control techniques
Radiologic physics fundamentals
Emergency response in imaging suite

ARRT (CT) post-primary certification (or obtained within 12 months)
Current state radiologic technologist license (if applicable)
