Quality Line Auditor Job Description The Quality Line Auditor monitors production lines to ensure strict conformance with Batch Records, product specifications, and current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP). This role inspects manufacturing equipment for cleanliness, documents audit results with precision, and supports continuous improvement by identifying issues, driving corrective actions, and helping to prevent recurrence. The position offers exposure to a diverse range of personal care and household products and provides clear opportunities for advancement into quality-focused roles over time. Responsibilities + Audit production lines on schedule to verify conformance with Batch Records, product specifications, and cGMP requirements. + Inspect manufacturing equipment to confirm cleanliness and readiness for use before and during production. + Accurately document audit findings and results in Batch Records and other required documentation. + Initiate corrective adjustments to manufacturing processes when non-conformances are identified, record those adjustments, and perform documented rechecks to verify that the corrections are effective. + Escalate issues according to established procedures to ensure timely correction and effective containment of quality problems. + Immediately report non-conformances and significant quality issues to the Quality Unit. + Support the investigation of quality events by providing detailed observations, documentation, and input to help identify root causes and implement corrective and preventive actions. + Comply at all times with Standard Work, cGMP, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and Work Instructions. + Understand and maintain a strong culture of lean action within the department, consistently seeking ways to improve processes and eliminate waste. + Implement and maintain standards and processes that reduce or eliminate waste throughout the department. + Apply and utilize lean tools to implement permanent process improvements and sustain gains. + Institutionalize 5S practices (Sort, Straighten, Shine, Standardize, and Sustain) in all aspects of the department to promote organization, safety, and efficiency. + Perform visual inspections of products, components, and processes to identify defects, irregularities, or non-conformances. + Conduct internal quality checks and inspections to support quality assurance and quality control activities. + Assist production teams by communicating quality expectations, clarifying requirements, and reinforcing adherence to procedures. + Multi-task effectively in a cyclical work environment with tight deadlines, adjusting to interruptions and changes in production or customer requirements. + Maintain accurate, organized records and documentation to support audits, investigations, and regulatory compliance. + Perform other work as assigned to support department and business needs. Essential Skills + High School Diploma is required. + Demonstrated understanding of quality assurance principles and practices. + Familiarity with cGMP requirements and their application in a production environment. + Ability to follow and comply with SOPs, Work Instructions, and Standard Work consistently. + Experience with quality inspection, quality checks, and internal audits. + Ability to stand and walk frequently (4 to 6 hours per day). Work Environment This role is based at a manufacturing facility in Chaska and operates on a Monday through Friday first shift schedule, typically from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. The position may require work hours beyond the normal workday depending on business demands and incoming components, with an estimated 5 to 20 hours of additional time over the course of the contract, subject to change as business needs evolve. The work is cyclical in nature and involves moderate to high demand for meeting tight deadlines, with moderate interruptions in workflow due to production and customer requirements. Travel is limited. The physical environment is indoors and can be seasonally cold, hot, or humid. Team members may be exposed to various fragrances, sometimes at elevated levels, and will frequently move and lift objects, including lifting up to 50 pounds on a frequent basis. The role requires frequent standing and walking, along with occasional bending, pushing, pulling, climbing stairs, reaching, lifting, grasping, repetitive motion, and hand/wrist movements. Work may involve periodic use of a computer terminal for documentation and reporting. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Chaska, MN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr.
