Position Summary:
The Delivery Driver & Material Handler plays a vital role in keeping our field operations moving by coordinating the seamless flow of materials, equipment, and machinery between our yard and active job sites. This position is dynamic: while a valid Class A CDL is strictly required, this is not a traditional, long-haul driving role. Instead, it is heavily shop- and yard-based. For the most part, transportation consists of local deliveries and pick-ups. However, there will be occasions when you will be required to support regional loads or shipments that potentially cross state lines, which is why maintaining your Class A CDL is essential.
This role bridges the gap between logistics, yard operations, and field support. Out of the gates, you will split your time between local route execution, load securement, and hands-on yard/shop management. Because we are a rapidly growing operation, we value versatility; this position is ideal for a self-motivated team player who enjoys variety and is eager to flex between driving and ground operations. Looking down the road, there is potential for a strong performer to eventually transition into a dedicated, full-time driving position as our local fleet and footprint continue to expand, though the immediate focus of this role remains firmly rooted in shop and local logistics.
Core Responsibilities:

- Ability to work outdoors and in physically active environments.
Work Environment & Schedule:
- Typical schedule begins early morning (~6:00 AM) and continues until route completion.
- Expected workdays range from 8 to 10 hours, up to approximately 50 hours per week.
- Monday – Friday with a willingness to support occasional weekend operations
- Primarily local and regional travel (Illinois, Wisconsin, Indiana, Iowa).
- Limited overnight travel (approximately once every six months).
Compliance & Operational Expectations:
- Adhere to DOT regulations and company safety standards.
- Participate in onboarding processes such as DOT registration if not already completed.
- Navigate job site entry requirements including safety orientations or screenings.
