Our client is a global manufacturer serving the food ingredient, nutrition, and specialty chemical markets, with manufacturing operations across North America and Europe.


Position Summary

The Senior Operational Safety Manager will support safety performance across multiple manufacturing facilities. This corporate-level role partners with plant leadership and EHS teams to strengthen safety culture, reduce operational risk, improve process safety performance, and drive consistency across the manufacturing network.


Key Responsibilities

• Lead safety audits, incident investigations, root cause analyses, and corrective actions.

• Support risk assessments, process safety initiatives, and high-risk operations.

• Deploy corporate safety standards, programs, and best practices across multiple sites.

• Coach plant leadership and EHS teams on safety culture, behavior-based safety, and leadership engagement.

• Deliver training and drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve safety performance.


Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in EHS, Engineering, Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, or related field.

• 8+ years of EHS, Operational Safety, Process Safety, or Manufacturing Safety experience.

• Experience within food, pharmaceutical, chemical, specialty ingredient, or related manufacturing environments preferred.

• Strong background in safety audits, investigations, regulatory compliance, risk management, and safety culture development.

• Multi-site manufacturing support and Process Safety Management (PSM) experience highly preferred.

• Strong communication, leadership, and influencing skills.
