The ideal candidate will be responsible for applying paint, varnishes, and other coatings to a variety of materials and surfaces, catering to both protective and decorative needs.
Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and removing old paint.
Mix and match paint and other finishes to desired color and texture.
Apply coatings using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment.
Measure and calculate mix ratios according to specifications.
Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
Inspect and evaluate surfaces for maintenance needs.
Work with a team to coordinate large-scale painting projects.
Follow all environmental regulations regarding painting and surface finishing.
Proficiency with spray paint tools and equipment.
Strong knowledge of different paint types and their applications.
Effective surface preparation techniques.
Ability to match and mix paint colors accurately.
Familiarity with safety and environmental regulations related to painting.
Certification from the National Association of Corrosion Engineers (NACE) or equivalent is preferred.
Training in hazardous materials handling.
