Immediate need for a talented AWS / Observability Engineer. This is a 06+ Months contract opportunity with long-term potential and is located in Bethesda, MD(Onsite). Please review the job description below and contact me ASAP if you are interested.

Pay Range: 60$ - 65$ /hour. Employee benefits include, but are not limited to, health insurance (medical, dental, vision), 401(k) plan, and paid sick leave (depending on work location).


Key Responsibilities: -


  • Design/implement automation on AWS cloud to integrate monitoring/alerting that integrates infrastructure and application
  • Participate in analysis and design supporting integrating observability into our platform
  • Develop automation with AWS services supporting infrastructure anomaly detection
  • Develop/integrate Open telemetry into infrastructure to enhance observability on the infrastructure as well as on the application
  • Implement best practices to enable observability on a complex platform deployed on AWS infrastructure
  • Design and implement logging standards and metrics with log aggregators such as Client and cloudwatch
  • Integrate observability across dynatrace/Client and custom user interfaces
  • Enhance Cloud engineering practice by automating manual business and IT processes in Amazon Web Services (AWS) with common Infrastructure as Code services such as CloudFormation, CodePipeline, SSM Automation Documents, Config Rules.
  • Manage assigned project components to deliver services in accordance with established objectives.
  • Write unit tests and integration tests to validate infrastructure code
  • Identify engineering defects in the existing code base and constantly improve the code quality
  • Maintain configuration and support documentation.
  • Collaborate regularly in scrum meetings


Key Requirements and Technology Experience:


  • Key Skills; Observability, infrastructure as code, AWS, CI/CD, financial/Banking Domain experience
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related field required.
  • 5-7 years experience required.
  • Broad knowledge of IT Systems engineering.
  • Extensive understanding of Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment methodologies.
  • Ability to use a wide variety of open-source technologies and cloud services.
  • Experience utilizing cloud services (AWS) and ability to quickly learn new cloud services
  • Implement automation to utilize / integrate / provision/ manage/ monitor cloud services (Build infrastructure as code)
