Job Description
Boston Children’s Hospital seeks a compassionate Registered Nurse to deliver family-centered pediatric care in our Healthcare & Medical Services department. The RN will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate evidence-based care for children with diverse medical needs, collaborating closely with physicians, therapists, and families. Provide age-appropriate, family-centered nursing care to pediatric patients.
Perform comprehensive assessments and develop individualized care plans.
Administer medications and treatments safely, following hospital protocols.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and discharges.
Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatments, and home care.
Monitor patient status, respond to changes, and escalate concerns promptly.
Document care accurately in the electronic health record (EHR).
Promote quality, safety, and infection prevention standards.
Participate in unit-based quality improvement and evidence-based practice initiatives.
Precept and mentor new staff or students as needed.
Pediatric patient assessment
IV therapy and medication administration
Electronic Health Record (EHR) documentation (e.g., Epic)

Pediatric emergency response and stabilization
Infection prevention and control
Evidence-based nursing practice
