Job Description
Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapy Assistant to support patient rehabilitation within our Healthcare & Medical Services team. In this role, you’ll implement treatment plans under the supervision of licensed Physical Therapists, assist with therapeutic exercises, document patient progress, and educate patients and families on home programs. Implement PT treatment plans under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist
Assist patients with therapeutic exercises, gait training, and functional mobility
Monitor and document patient progress, reporting changes to the PT
Educate patients and families on home exercise programs and safety
Maintain accurate and timely electronic health records (EHR)
Prepare and clean treatment areas and equipment per safety standards
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to optimize outcomes
Adhere to all state, federal, and facility policies and regulations
Therapeutic exercise implementation
Gait training and balance interventions
Manual therapy techniques (within PTA scope)
Patient transfer and mobility assistance
Use of physical therapy modalities (e.g., ultrasound, e-stim)
Electronic health record (EHR) documentation
Vital signs monitoring and basic patient assessment
Patient and family education on home programs
Infection control and safety protocols
Interdisciplinary team collaboration

Current state PTA license or eligibility
Graduation from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
BLS/CPR certification
Experience with electronic health records (EHR) preferred
