Job Description
LifeBridge Health seeks a Mashgiach for our Food & Beverage Operations within Healthcare & Medical Services. The Mashgiach will provide continuous kosher supervision for hospital kitchens, patient meal services, retail outlets, and catering, ensuring strict adherence to halachic standards and organizational policies. Responsibilities include inspecting ingredients and suppliers, monitoring food preparation and service, preventing cross-contamination, verifying equipment use, and maintaining detailed documentation. Working collaboratively with clinical nutrition, culinary, and operations teams, the Mashgiach supports compassionate patient care, safety, and cultural sensitivity while contributing to a culture of continuous improvement and community-focused service.
Provide continuous kosher supervision of hospital kitchens, pantries, and foodservice areas
Verify all ingredients, products, and vendors comply with kosher and hospital standards
Monitor food preparation, cooking, holding, and service for kashrut and safety
Prevent cross-contamination between meat, dairy, and pareve, and manage allergen risks
Inspect and label equipment, utensils, and storage areas for proper kosher status
Collaborate with dietitians, chefs, and managers on kosher menus and patient needs
Maintain accurate logs, approvals, and kashrut documentation for audits
Support training of foodservice staff on kosher procedures and expectations
Coordinate kosher meals for patients, staff, and visitors, including special events
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and regulatory compliance efforts
Kosher food law (Halacha) knowledge
Food safety and sanitation
