Associate Cybersecurity Engineer

We are looking for an Associate Cybersecurity Engineer to support a growing Information Security team focused on protecting the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of enterprise systems and data. This role is hands-on and highly collaborative, centered around monitoring security activity, strengthening infrastructure, and helping prevent and remediate cyber threats across global platforms. You’ll work closely with cybersecurity engineers, IT teams, and business stakeholders to optimize security policies, respond to incidents, and ensure a strong, scalable security posture.


Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor network security activity and support day-to-day operations of security infrastructure
  • Help prevent and remediate cybersecurity incidents through ongoing optimization of policies, rules, and architecture
  • Implement and manage enterprise firewall solutions, including next-generation firewalls (NGFW)
  • Support SASE environments, including secure web gateways, ZTNA, and CASB
  • Assist with security configuration changes and triage activities across teams
  • Contribute to the development of security procedures, policies, and best practices
  • Partner with IT and business teams to ensure secure implementations across systems


Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in cloud security, network security, security operations, or related areas
  • Strong understanding of IAM principles, including authentication, authorization, and least privilege
  • Hands-on experience with security tools such as Azure, Okta, Duo, Palo Alto, Fortinet, Zscaler, Defender, OCI, and SIEM platforms like Sentinel
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Security Suite (Defender, Azure Sentinel, Entra/Azure AD)
  • Experience with automation or scripting tools such as Python, PowerShell, Ansible, or KQL is a plus
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to recommend actionable security improvements
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment


This role requires strong judgment, a sense of urgency, and a commitment to maintaining high security and compliance standards. Candidates should be highly organized and able to manage multiple priorities effectively. Some travel (~5%) may be required.
