Insight Global is seeking a Materials Engineer to help support a client in East Hartford, CT. This role supports product environmental compliance for Pratt & Whitney engine programs, with a focus on regulated materials, customer deliverables, and data accuracy. The engineer will be office based and will work on a computer to deal with customers. Responsibilities include supporting engine program deliverables tied to environmental regulations and contractual obligations. The role works closely with internal engineering teams, supply chain partners, suppliers, and formulators to gather, validate, and maintain safety and materials data. A key function of this position is identifying hazardous materials within engine manuals and consumables and confirming whether those materials are compliant with country-specific regulations. The engineer will help translate complex regulatory requirements into clear, customer-ready documentation. This position is primarily computer-based and suited for an early-career engineer who enjoys structured, detail-oriented work. The role sits within a small engineering team that supports a high volume of requests, requiring strong organization and prioritization skills. While there is some exposure to commercial programs, the role is primarily focused on military engine programs and global customer deliverables. The position is based on a hybrid schedule of three days per week onsite, typically Monday and Friday remote.

- Bachelor's degree in Environmental, Materials, or Chemical Engineering
- 4-8 years of experience in an engineering, compliance, or regulated technical environment
- Ability to read, understand, and interpret environmental regulations and contract requirements
- Experience working with hazardous materials, chemical data, or regulated substances
- Experience using data management tools/systems to maintain technical or regulatory data - Familiarity with aerospace design and manufacturing processes
- Chemical or materials engineering background, particularly with polymers
- Experience supporting aerospace or engine programs (commercial or military)
- Exposure to global environmental regulations impacting products or materials
- Experience with Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and supplier/formulator documentation
- Experience supporting customer-facing compliance deliverables
- Familiarity with global supply chain considerations for regulated materials
