Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and mentor a team of AI researchers and engineers, guiding projects from conceptualization to implementation.
  • Conduct cutting-edge research in areas such as machine learning, deep learning, natural language processing, computer vision, and reinforcement learning.
  • Develop novel AI algorithms and models to solve complex problems and create innovative products.
  • Design and execute experiments to validate research hypotheses and assess model performance.
  • Collaborate with product management and engineering teams to translate research findings into practical applications.
  • Publish research findings in top-tier academic conferences and journals.
  • Stay abreast of the latest advancements in AI and machine learning by reviewing literature and attending conferences.
  • Contribute to the intellectual property portfolio through patent applications and publications.
  • Provide technical leadership and strategic direction for the AI research roadmap.
  • Ensure the ethical and responsible development and deployment of AI technologies.
  • Manage research project timelines and resources effectively in a remote setting.
  • Present research results and project updates to stakeholders and leadership.

Qualifications:
  • Ph.D. in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or a related quantitative field.
  • Minimum of 8 years of post-doctoral research experience in AI/ML, with a significant portion in a leadership or principal investigator role.
  • Demonstrated track record of impactful research contributions, evidenced by publications in top venues (e.g., NeurIPS, ICML, CVPR, ACL) and patents.
  • Expertise in one or more core AI areas: deep learning frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch), NLP, computer vision, reinforcement learning, etc.
  • Strong programming skills in Python and experience with scientific computing libraries.
  • Proven ability to lead and mentor research teams.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, essential for effective remote collaboration and dissemination of research.
  • Ability to work independently, drive innovation, and manage complex research projects autonomously.
  • Experience with cloud computing platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) is a plus.
  • A passion for pushing the boundaries of AI and its applications.
