Our client, a rapidly expanding e-commerce and logistics firm, is seeking a meticulous and proactive Logistics Coordinator to join their fully remote team. This role is crucial for ensuring the seamless and efficient movement of goods across our supply chain. You will be responsible for coordinating shipments, managing carrier relationships, tracking inventory, and resolving any logistical challenges that may arise. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, independent work environment and possesses exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and strong communication capabilities.

Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate and schedule domestic and international shipments via various modes of transportation (truck, air, ocean).
  • Manage relationships with freight carriers, negotiating rates and ensuring service level agreements are met.
  • Track shipments from origin to destination, providing timely updates to internal teams and customers.
  • Monitor inventory levels and ensure accurate record-keeping within the logistics management system.
  • Resolve delivery issues, customs clearance problems, and other logistical challenges promptly and effectively.
  • Prepare and process shipping documentation, including bills of lading, customs declarations, and invoices.
  • Identify opportunities to optimize shipping routes and reduce transportation costs.
  • Collaborate with warehouse, sales, and customer service teams to ensure smooth operations.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date logistics records and databases.
  • Stay informed about relevant transportation regulations and trade compliance requirements.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in logistics coordination, supply chain management, or freight forwarding.
  • Proficiency with logistics software and Transportation Management Systems (TMS).
  • Strong understanding of shipping procedures, incoterms, and customs regulations.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, particularly for remote collaboration.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively in a remote setting.
