Key Responsibilities:
  • Collect, clean, and process large volumes of sports-related data from various sources.
  • Develop and implement statistical models and algorithms to analyze player performance, team strategies, and game outcomes.
  • Create compelling visualizations and dashboards to communicate complex data findings to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights that can inform coaching decisions, player recruitment, and strategic planning.
  • Collaborate with sports scientists, coaches, and management to understand their data needs and provide tailored analytical support.
  • Design and evaluate experiments to test hypotheses and measure the impact of different interventions.
  • Stay abreast of the latest advancements in sports analytics, machine learning, and data science methodologies.
  • Contribute to the development of proprietary analytical tools and databases.
  • Ensure data integrity and accuracy throughout the analysis process.
  • Present findings and recommendations clearly and concisely to diverse audiences.

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related quantitative field. You should have 3+ years of experience in data analysis, with a strong passion for and understanding of sports. Proficiency in data manipulation and analysis tools such as Python (Pandas, NumPy), R, SQL, and experience with data visualization libraries (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Matplotlib) are essential. Familiarity with machine learning techniques is a significant advantage. Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills are required. Excellent communication and presentation skills are crucial for conveying complex findings effectively. As a remote position, you must be a self-motivated individual with excellent time management skills and the ability to work autonomously while collaborating effectively with a distributed team.
