Job Description
Our client is seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Remote Commercial Real Estate Analyst to support their investment and development activities. This is a fully remote position, offering the opportunity to work from anywhere within the US. You will play a crucial role in evaluating potential real estate acquisitions, conducting market research, performing financial modeling, and providing data-driven insights to inform strategic decisions. The ideal candidate possesses a strong quantitative background, a deep understanding of commercial real estate principles, and proficiency in financial analysis tools.

- Conduct in-depth market research and analysis of various commercial real estate sectors (office, retail, industrial, multi-family).
- Evaluate potential investment and development opportunities by analyzing financial statements, property data, and market trends.
- Develop detailed financial models, including discounted cash flow (DCF) analysis, pro forma statements, and sensitivity analyses.
- Prepare comprehensive investment memorandums and reports for internal review and decision-making.
- Assist in due diligence processes, including coordinating with third-party vendors and reviewing property-level data.
- Monitor existing portfolio performance and identify opportunities for value enhancement.
- Track key market indicators, economic trends, and demographic data relevant to real estate investments.
- Collaborate effectively with acquisition, development, and asset management teams in a remote environment.
- Stay current with industry best practices, emerging trends, and regulatory changes in commercial real estate.
- Develop and maintain databases of market information and property comparable sales.
- Assist in the preparation of presentations and materials for investment committees and stakeholders.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Real Estate, or a related quantitative field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in commercial real estate analysis, investment, or development.
- Strong proficiency in financial modeling using Microsoft Excel (DCF, IRR, NPV analysis).
- Solid understanding of commercial real estate concepts, valuation methodologies, and market dynamics.
- Excellent analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with real estate data platforms (e.g., CoStar, Reis) is a plus.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines in a remote setting.
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
- Master's degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CFA, CCIM coursework) are advantageous.
