Our client is a leading provider of specialized pediatric therapy services, committed to delivering exceptional care to children regardless of their geographical location. We are seeking a highly experienced and dedicated Remote Lead Pediatric Speech-Language Pathologist to join our fully remote team. This leadership role is crucial for overseeing the quality of speech-language pathology services provided to children across various age groups and with diverse communication challenges. The ideal candidate will possess extensive clinical expertise, strong leadership capabilities, and a passion for advancing teletherapy practices in pediatrics.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide expert clinical speech-language pathology services via teletherapy to pediatric clients, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning.
  • Develop and implement individualized, evidence-based treatment plans for children with a wide range of communication disorders, including articulation, phonology, language delays, fluency, social communication, and voice.
  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations utilizing standardized and informal assessment tools, adapting them for a remote setting.
  • Collaborate closely with parents, caregivers, educators, and other healthcare professionals to ensure a holistic approach to intervention and support.
  • Provide training and support to parents and caregivers to facilitate carryover of skills in home environments.
  • Stay current with the latest research, best practices, and technological advancements in pediatric speech-language pathology and teletherapy.
  • Mentor and provide clinical supervision and guidance to junior speech-language pathologists and therapy assistants working remotely.
  • Oversee the quality assurance of teletherapy sessions, ensuring adherence to clinical best practices and ethical standards.
  • Contribute to the development and refinement of teletherapy protocols, resources, and training materials for the clinical team.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and case conferences.
  • Manage caseload effectively, ensuring timely documentation of evaluations, treatment plans, and progress notes in compliance with organizational and regulatory requirements.
  • Assist in the recruitment and onboarding process for new remote SLPs.
  • Identify and champion opportunities for innovation and program development within the teletherapy service delivery model.
  • Maintain professional licensure and certifications, completing required continuing education.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues that may arise during teletherapy sessions, providing guidance to clients and clinicians.
  • Advocate for the needs of pediatric clients and their families within the healthcare and educational systems.
Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Current state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) in relevant practice states or willingness to obtain.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
  • Minimum of 7 years of progressive clinical experience in pediatric speech-language pathology, with a significant portion focused on teletherapy or a strong desire to specialize.
  • Proven experience in leading or mentoring clinical staff.
  • Expertise in diagnosing and treating a wide range of pediatric communication disorders.
  • Strong understanding of developmental milestones and pediatric therapeutic interventions.
  • Proficiency with various teletherapy platforms and technologies.
  • Excellent clinical reasoning, diagnostic, and treatment planning skills.
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and maintain high standards of productivity in a remote environment.

  • Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail for accurate documentation.
