Our client, a prominent manufacturing firm, is seeking a highly experienced Lead Industrial Process Improvement Engineer to spearhead process optimization efforts in **San Diego, California, US**. This leadership role is critical for enhancing operational efficiency, reducing costs, and improving product quality across our manufacturing facilities. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in industrial engineering principles, lean manufacturing methodologies, and a proven track record of implementing successful process improvements.

Key responsibilities include analyzing existing manufacturing processes to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement. You will lead cross-functional teams in the development and implementation of Lean, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement initiatives. This involves designing optimized workflows, implementing new technologies, and establishing key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure success. The Lead Industrial Process Improvement Engineer will also be responsible for training and mentoring plant personnel on continuous improvement tools and techniques.

You will collaborate closely with production, quality control, and engineering departments to ensure seamless integration of process changes and to drive a culture of operational excellence. This role requires strong data analysis capabilities, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization. Developing and maintaining comprehensive documentation, including process maps, standard operating procedures, and best practice guides, is also a key part of the role.

Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field; Master's degree preferred. A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in industrial engineering and process improvement, with a significant focus on lean manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies. Proven experience leading Kaizen events, value stream mapping, and other continuous improvement projects. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with proficiency in statistical analysis tools (e.g., Minitab). Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively manage teams and drive change. Experience with simulation software and CAD tools is a plus. Familiarity with various manufacturing processes and supply chain dynamics. Certification as a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt is highly desirable.
