Senior Curriculum Developer (Remote)

Our client is seeking a highly experienced and innovative Senior Curriculum Developer to join their dynamic educational team. This is a fully remote, full-time position offering the flexibility to work from anywhere within the US. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of instructional design principles, adult learning theories, and cutting-edge educational technologies. You will be responsible for conceptualizing, designing, developing, and implementing engaging and effective learning experiences across various platforms. This includes crafting comprehensive course outlines, detailed lesson plans, interactive modules, assessments, and supporting materials that align with learning objectives and performance outcomes. Collaboration is key in this role; you will work closely with subject matter experts, instructional designers, multimedia specialists, and project managers to ensure the highest quality of educational content. Your expertise will be instrumental in evaluating and integrating new technologies and methodologies to enhance learning effectiveness and learner engagement. You will also play a vital role in the continuous improvement of existing curricula, conducting needs analyses, and soliciting feedback for iterative enhancements.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead the design and development of high-quality, engaging, and effective learning content for diverse audiences.
  • Translate complex subject matter into clear, concise, and actionable learning materials.
  • Develop and implement robust assessment strategies to measure learning outcomes and identify areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including SMEs, instructional designers, and technical experts, throughout the content development lifecycle.
  • Utilize a variety of authoring tools and learning technologies to create interactive and multimedia-rich learning experiences.
  • Stay abreast of the latest trends and best practices in instructional design, adult learning, and educational technology.
  • Conduct needs assessments and performance gap analyses to inform curriculum design and development.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, adhering to deadlines and quality standards.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior curriculum developers and instructional designers.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of curriculum development processes and standards.

Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Education, Instructional Design, Curriculum Development, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in curriculum development and instructional design.
  • Proven experience designing and developing learning solutions for both online and blended learning environments.
  • Expertise in adult learning theories (e.g., Andragogy) and instructional design models (e.g., ADDIE, SAM).
  • Proficiency with industry-standard authoring tools such as Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, or similar.
  • Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and learning experience platforms (LXP).
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage complex projects from conception to completion.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote team environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze data and use it to inform instructional design decisions.
