Job Description
Our client, a leader in advanced manufacturing, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Production Floor Supervisor to join their team. This is a fully remote position, offering the flexibility to manage production operations from anywhere. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing and production management, with a proven ability to lead teams, optimize processes, and ensure efficient output. You will be responsible for overseeing daily production activities, ensuring adherence to quality standards, and driving continuous improvement initiatives, all while maintaining effective communication and oversight of remote teams and processes.

- Supervise and coordinate the activities of production staff to ensure efficient and timely manufacturing of products.
- Monitor production processes, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
- Ensure all production activities comply with safety regulations and quality standards.
- Train and mentor production team members, fostering a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
- Manage schedules, assign tasks, and monitor performance of the production floor team.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as quality control, maintenance, and logistics, to ensure smooth operations.
- Analyze production data and reports to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Implement and oversee lean manufacturing principles and best practices.
- Maintain accurate production records and documentation.
- Communicate effectively with remote management and stakeholders regarding production status and issues.
- Develop and implement strategies to enhance team productivity and morale in a remote setting.
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a production or manufacturing environment, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory role.
- Proven experience with lean manufacturing principles and methodologies.
- Strong understanding of production processes, quality control, and safety standards.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to effectively manage and motivate remote teams.
- Proficiency in production planning software and data analysis.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Ability to adapt to a fully remote work environment and maintain high levels of productivity.
- Experience in the specific manufacturing sector of our client is a significant advantage.
