Remote Principal Industrial Process Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the design, development, and implementation of optimized industrial processes and systems across multiple sites, ensuring seamless remote collaboration.
• Analyze existing operational workflows, identify bottlenecks, and propose data-driven solutions for efficiency gains and cost reduction.
• Champion Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement methodologies to foster a culture of operational excellence.
• Develop and implement strategies for integrating advanced automation, robotics, and Industry 4.0 technologies into manufacturing processes.
• Create detailed process documentation, including flowcharts, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and simulation models.
• Conduct feasibility studies and pilot projects for new technologies and process innovations.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers and project teams, providing technical expertise and leadership.
• Collaborate with R&D, engineering, and operations departments to translate new product designs into efficient, scalable production processes.
• Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) and establish robust monitoring systems to track process performance and identify areas for improvement.
• Present findings, recommendations, and project updates to senior management and stakeholders through virtual channels.
• Ensure all process designs adhere to safety, environmental, and quality standards.

Qualifications:

• Master's degree or Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in industrial engineering, process optimization, and manufacturing operations.
• Demonstrated expertise in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma (Black Belt certification preferred), and statistical process control (SPC).
• Proven track record of successfully leading complex, cross-functional projects with significant ROI.
• Extensive experience with process simulation software (e.g., Arena, AnyLogic) and data analysis tools (e.g., Minitab, JMP).
• In-depth knowledge of automation technologies, robotics, and Industry 4.0 concepts.
• Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills.
• Excellent virtual communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a remote setting.
• Experience in guiding and mentoring engineering teams.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the US and comfortable working in a fully remote environment.
