Senior Petroleum Reservoir Engineer (Remote)
Job Description
Our client, a prominent energy company, is actively seeking a highly experienced Senior Petroleum Reservoir Engineer to join their fully remote technical team. This role offers a significant opportunity to contribute expertise in reservoir characterization, performance analysis, and development planning for complex oil and gas assets. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of reservoir simulation, data analysis, and production optimization techniques, coupled with a proven ability to deliver impactful insights and drive value in a remote setting. Responsibilities include developing and executing reservoir management strategies, performing detailed reservoir simulations using industry-standard software (e.g., ECLIPSE, Petrel RE), analyzing production data to forecast future performance, and identifying opportunities for enhanced oil recovery (EOR). You will collaborate closely with geoscientists, drilling engineers, and production engineers to integrate subsurface data and optimize field development plans. This role requires a strong analytical mindset, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to communicate complex technical information effectively to diverse audiences. A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Petroleum Engineering or a closely related field is required, along with a minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in reservoir engineering, preferably with exposure to unconventional reservoirs. Proficiency in reservoir simulation software, data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Python, SQL), and strong geological interpretation skills are essential. Experience with uncertainty analysis and economic evaluation is highly desirable. The ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and thrive in a collaborative, remote environment is critical. This position offers a highly competitive salary, comprehensive benefits, and the chance to work on challenging projects within a leading organization, all from the comfort of your home office.
