Senior Insurance Product Development Manager (Remote)

Our client, a forward-thinking insurance provider, is seeking a talented and experienced Senior Insurance Product Development Manager to join their fully remote team. This pivotal role will drive the innovation and strategic development of new insurance products across various lines of business. You will be responsible for conducting market research, analyzing industry trends, identifying customer needs, and translating these insights into competitive and profitable insurance offerings. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the insurance market, regulatory landscape, and product lifecycle management, coupled with strong analytical and strategic planning abilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the ideation, design, development, and launch of new insurance products.
• Conduct comprehensive market analysis, competitor research, and customer segmentation studies to identify market opportunities.
• Develop business cases, financial models, and product specifications for proposed new products.
• Collaborate with actuarial, underwriting, legal, compliance, marketing, and sales teams to ensure successful product development and implementation.
• Monitor product performance, profitability, and customer feedback, making recommendations for product enhancements and adjustments.
• Ensure all product development activities comply with industry regulations and internal policies.
• Develop and maintain product roadmaps and strategic plans.
• Present product proposals and strategies to senior leadership.
• Stay informed about emerging trends, technologies, and customer expectations in the insurance industry.
• Manage product development projects from conception through launch and post-launch analysis.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Marketing, or a related field. MBA or advanced degree is a plus.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in insurance product development, management, or a related role within the financial services industry.
• Demonstrated success in launching profitable and innovative insurance products.
• Strong understanding of insurance principles, products (e.g., P&C, life, health), and the regulatory environment.
• Excellent analytical, financial modeling, and business case development skills.
• Proven project management and cross-functional team leadership abilities.
• Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a remote work setting.
