Lead Cloud Solutions Architect (Remote)

Our client, a global leader in cloud-native application development and managed services, is seeking a highly accomplished Lead Cloud Solutions Architect to join their fully remote, world-class engineering team. This role is instrumental in designing, implementing, and optimizing scalable, secure, and high-performance cloud infrastructures for a diverse range of enterprise clients. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise across major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), a passion for innovation, and exceptional architectural design skills, coupled with the ability to lead and mentor other architects. Responsibilities include:

• Designing and architecting complex, resilient, and cost-effective cloud solutions tailored to client requirements, encompassing compute, storage, networking, and database services.
• Leading the development of cloud strategies, roadmaps, and best practices for enterprise-level deployments.
• Providing technical leadership and guidance to engineering teams throughout the design, implementation, and operational phases.
• Evaluating and recommending cloud technologies, services, and tools to enhance platform capabilities and performance.
• Ensuring the security, compliance, and governance of cloud environments, adhering to industry standards and regulatory mandates.
• Collaborating with stakeholders, including business leaders, project managers, and development teams, to understand needs and translate them into technical solutions.
• Developing detailed technical documentation, including architecture diagrams, deployment plans, and operational runbooks.
• Troubleshooting and resolving complex technical challenges related to cloud infrastructure.
• Staying at the forefront of cloud computing trends, emerging technologies, and platform updates.
• Conducting architectural reviews and providing recommendations for optimization and cost savings.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in IT infrastructure, with at least 7 years focused on cloud architecture and design.
• Extensive hands-on experience with multiple public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), including their core services.
• Proven track record of designing and deploying large-scale, mission-critical cloud solutions.
• Deep understanding of cloud networking concepts (VPCs, subnets, routing, load balancing), security best practices, and identity and access management (IAM).
• Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and microservices architecture.
• Strong knowledge of infrastructure as code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills.
• Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Relevant cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional, Azure Solutions Architect Expert) are highly desirable.
• Proven ability to lead and mentor technical teams in a remote setting.
