Our client, a leading innovator in renewable energy technology, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to contribute to the design and development of cutting-edge sustainable solutions. This is a fully remote position, allowing you to leverage your expertise from anywhere within the US. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in mechanical design principles, thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and materials science, with a proven ability to tackle complex engineering challenges and drive projects from concept to completion.

As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, analyzing, and validating mechanical systems and components for our client's innovative products. This includes performing detailed engineering calculations, utilizing CAD software for 3D modeling and drafting, and conducting finite element analysis (FEA) and computational fluid dynamics (CFD) simulations to ensure performance, reliability, and safety. You will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including electrical engineers, software developers, and product managers, to integrate mechanical systems seamlessly into larger product designs. Responsibilities also include developing prototypes, conducting rigorous testing, and documenting design changes and results. A key aspect of this role is contributing to the continuous improvement of existing designs and processes, identifying opportunities for cost reduction and performance enhancement. Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field.
  • A minimum of 7 years of professional experience in mechanical design and analysis.
  • Expertise in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, CATIA, AutoCAD) and FEA/CFD simulation tools.
  • Strong understanding of thermodynamics, fluid dynamics, heat transfer, and material science.
  • Experience with prototyping, testing, and validation of mechanical systems.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes and materials selection.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present technical information effectively.
  • Experience in the renewable energy or advanced manufacturing sectors is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and effectively manage projects in a remote setting.
