Head of Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) - Remote

We are seeking a highly experienced and dedicated Head of Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) to lead our EHS initiatives. This is a crucial, fully remote leadership position that will drive the development, implementation, and oversight of comprehensive EHS programs nationwide. The successful candidate will ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations, foster a strong safety culture, and continuously improve EHS performance. Responsibilities include developing and executing EHS policies and procedures, conducting risk assessments and hazard analyses, managing incident investigations and root cause analysis, and overseeing EHS training programs. You will collaborate with operational teams to identify and mitigate risks, promote best practices, and ensure a safe working environment for all employees. Experience in developing and implementing successful EHS management systems (e.g., ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001/ISO 45001) is highly desirable. The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health and Safety, Engineering, or a related field, with a minimum of 7-10 years of progressive EHS experience, including leadership roles. Professional certifications such as CSP (Certified Safety Professional) or CIH (Certified Industrial Hygienist) are strongly preferred. Excellent communication, leadership, and influencing skills are essential for driving change and engaging stakeholders at all levels. This role requires a proactive, strategic thinker with a passion for safety and sustainability, capable of leading and motivating a distributed team.
