Senior Structural Engineer - Remote Focus
Job Description
We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Senior Structural Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team. This is a fully remote position, allowing you to contribute to groundbreaking projects from the comfort of your home office. You will be responsible for the design, analysis, and oversight of structural components for a diverse range of construction projects, ensuring compliance with all relevant building codes and safety standards. This role demands a proactive approach, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with a distributed team.

- Perform structural analysis and design for various building types, including commercial, residential, and industrial structures.
- Develop detailed structural drawings, specifications, and calculations using industry-standard software (e.g., ETABS, SAP2000, Revit).
- Collaborate with architects, project managers, and other engineering disciplines to ensure seamless project integration.
- Conduct site visits and inspections remotely where feasible, or provide guidance to on-site personnel for remote assessments.
- Review shop drawings and respond to contractor RFIs (Requests for Information) promptly.
- Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.
- Stay abreast of the latest advancements in structural engineering technologies, materials, and building codes.
- Ensure all designs meet or exceed client expectations and regulatory requirements.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Structural Engineering or a related field.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license is required.
- Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in structural engineering design.
- Proficiency in structural analysis and design software.
- Strong understanding of building codes (e.g., IBC, ASCE) and construction practices.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a remote setting.
- Experience with BIM (Building Information Modeling) software is highly desirable.
