Remote Senior Software Engineer - Cloud Security
Job Description
Our client, a leading innovator in secure cloud solutions, is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Remote Senior Software Engineer specializing in Cloud Security to join their distributed engineering team. This role is critical in designing, implementing, and maintaining robust security measures across our client's cloud infrastructure and services. You will be instrumental in safeguarding sensitive data, ensuring compliance with industry regulations, and protecting against emerging threats. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in software development, a deep understanding of cloud security principles, and a passion for building secure, scalable systems. You will work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, contributing to all phases of the software development lifecycle, with a strong emphasis on security best practices.
Key responsibilities include developing and deploying security features, implementing threat detection and incident response mechanisms, and conducting security assessments and penetration testing. You will design and build automated security controls, infrastructure as code (IaC) for security configurations, and integrate security solutions into CI/CD pipelines. Collaborating closely with development and operations teams to embed security throughout the development process is paramount. This role requires staying ahead of the latest security threats and vulnerabilities, researching and recommending new security technologies, and contributing to the continuous improvement of our client's security posture. You will also be responsible for developing security documentation, policies, and best practices. The ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and communicate complex technical security concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences is essential for this fully remote position. Experience with major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and common security frameworks is highly desirable.
