Our client is looking for a visionary and experienced Remote Lead Architectural Designer to drive innovative projects focused on sustainable urban development. This fully remote position offers the unique opportunity to shape the future of cities from anywhere in the US. You will be responsible for conceptualizing and developing groundbreaking architectural designs that prioritize environmental responsibility, community well-being, and aesthetic excellence. This role involves leading design teams through all phases of a project, from initial feasibility studies and conceptual design to detailed documentation and construction oversight. Your responsibilities will include translating complex client needs and regulatory requirements into cohesive and inspiring architectural solutions. You will spearhead the integration of sustainable design principles, including energy efficiency, material selection, water conservation, and green building technologies. The ideal candidate possesses a strong portfolio showcasing expertise in large-scale urban projects, mixed-use developments, and sustainable design. Excellent leadership, communication, and collaboration skills are essential, as you will work closely with clients, engineers, urban planners, and construction professionals. Proficiency in leading architectural design software (e.g., Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Rhino) and rendering tools is required. A deep understanding of building codes, zoning regulations, and sustainable design certifications (e.g., LEED) is crucial. You must demonstrate a passion for creating innovative, environmentally conscious, and socially responsible spaces. A Bachelor or Master of Architecture degree from an accredited institution is mandatory, along with a professional license (e.g., RA, RIBA) and a minimum of 8 years of progressive architectural design experience, with a significant focus on urban development and sustainability. Experience in leading design projects and mentoring junior designers is expected.
