Remote Senior Experience Designer - VR/AR

Our client, a forward-thinking leader in immersive technology, is seeking a highly creative and skilled Senior Experience Designer to shape the future of virtual and augmented reality applications. This is a fully remote position, offering unparalleled flexibility to design groundbreaking user experiences from anywhere. You will be responsible for conceptualizing, designing, and prototyping intuitive and engaging interfaces for VR/AR environments. The ideal candidate has a deep understanding of user-centered design principles, a strong portfolio showcasing expertise in immersive design, and a passion for pushing the boundaries of interactive technology. You will collaborate closely with product managers, developers, and other designers to bring innovative VR/AR experiences to life.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead the design of user experiences for virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR) applications.
  • Develop user flows, wireframes, interactive prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups for immersive interfaces.
  • Conduct user research, usability testing, and gather feedback to iterate on designs.
  • Translate complex user needs and technical requirements into elegant and intuitive design solutions.
  • Collaborate with 3D artists and developers to ensure seamless implementation of designs.
  • Define and maintain design systems and guidelines for VR/AR experiences.
  • Stay at the forefront of VR/AR technology trends, interaction paradigms, and best practices.
  • Present design concepts and rationale to cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Champion user-centered design principles throughout the product development lifecycle.
  • Mentor junior designers and contribute to the growth of the design team.
  • Create compelling visual and interactive elements that enhance user engagement.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Interaction Design, HCI, Graphic Design, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in UX/UI design, with a significant focus on VR/AR or immersive technologies.
  • A strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in designing for spatial computing environments.
  • Proficiency with design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, Unity, Unreal Engine, or similar.
  • Deep understanding of user psychology and interaction design principles specific to 3D environments.
  • Experience conducting user research and usability testing for immersive experiences.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a remote, collaborative team environment.
  • Proactive, self-directed, and passionate about the future of immersive technologies.
  • Familiarity with game design principles is a plus.
