Senior Civil Engineer (Structural Focus) - Remote

Our client, a distinguished engineering consultancy recognized for its innovative solutions in infrastructure development, is seeking a highly experienced Senior Civil Engineer with a specialization in structural engineering to join their dynamic, fully remote team. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to impactful projects nationwide from the convenience of your home office. You will be responsible for the design, analysis, and project management of various structural components and systems, ensuring compliance with all relevant codes and standards.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the structural design and analysis of diverse civil engineering projects, including bridges, buildings, and other infrastructure.
• Perform complex structural calculations and modeling using state-of-the-art software (e.g., STAAD.Pro, SAP2000, ETABS).
• Develop detailed design drawings, specifications, and technical reports.
• Ensure all designs meet or exceed relevant building codes, industry standards, and client requirements.
• Collaborate effectively with project managers, architects, and other engineering disciplines in a remote environment.
• Review the work of junior engineers and provide technical guidance and mentorship.
• Conduct site investigations and assess existing structures as needed.
• Prepare project proposals and participate in client presentations.
• Manage project timelines and budgets for assigned structural engineering tasks.
• Stay abreast of the latest advancements in structural engineering technologies, materials, and design methodologies.

Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Civil Engineering with a specialization in Structural Engineering.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required. SE (Structural Engineer) license is highly desirable.
• Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive experience in structural engineering design and analysis.
• Proven experience leading complex structural projects from conception through completion.
• Expertise in structural analysis software and finite element analysis (FEA).
• Thorough understanding of building codes (IBC, ASCE, ACI, AISC) and design standards.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills, essential for remote work.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
• Experience with project management principles and client interaction.
• Familiarity with BIM (Building Information Modeling) software is a plus.
