Remote Production Engineering Lead

Our client is seeking an experienced and innovative Production Engineering Lead to spearhead their manufacturing and production efforts in a fully remote capacity. This crucial role will oversee the design, implementation, and optimization of production processes, ensuring efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in manufacturing engineering, process improvement, and team leadership. You will be responsible for developing and executing strategies to enhance production output, reduce waste, and maintain the highest standards of product quality. Key responsibilities include leading a remote team of production engineers, troubleshooting complex manufacturing issues, and implementing new technologies and methodologies. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including quality assurance, supply chain, and R&D, to drive continuous improvement initiatives. A Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field is required. A Master's degree or P.Eng. designation is highly desirable. Extensive experience in production engineering within a manufacturing environment, with a proven ability to lead projects and manage teams remotely, is essential. Expertise in process automation, lean manufacturing principles, and statistical process control (SPC) is required. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills are critical.
