Senior Commercial Real Estate Development Manager (Remote)

Our client is seeking a highly accomplished Senior Commercial Real Estate Development Manager to lead key development projects from a remote capacity. This role is ideal for a strategic leader with extensive experience in the full lifecycle of commercial real estate development, from site acquisition and feasibility studies to financing, design, construction oversight, and lease-up. You will be responsible for identifying new development opportunities, managing project budgets and timelines, and ensuring the successful execution of complex real estate ventures. The position requires strong negotiation skills, financial acumen, and the ability to build and maintain relationships with investors, brokers, contractors, and government agencies. As a remote employee, you will leverage advanced communication and project management tools to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external partners across different locations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Identify, evaluate, and pursue new commercial real estate development opportunities.
• Conduct comprehensive feasibility studies, market analyses, and financial projections for potential projects.
• Manage all phases of the development process, including zoning, entitlements, design, permitting, and construction.
• Develop and manage project budgets, capital stacks, and financing arrangements.
• Negotiate and execute purchase agreements, leases, and other real estate contracts.
• Oversee the selection and management of architects, engineers, general contractors, and other project consultants.
• Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including investors, lenders, brokers, and community leaders.
• Monitor market trends and identify opportunities for value creation and risk mitigation.
• Prepare detailed project reports and presentations for senior management and investors.
• Champion sustainable development practices and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations.
• Effectively communicate and collaborate with team members and partners through virtual channels.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field; Master's degree or MBA preferred.
• A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in commercial real estate development, with a strong track record of successfully delivering complex projects.
• Deep understanding of real estate finance, market analysis, land use, and construction processes.
• Proven experience in negotiating complex deals and managing multiple stakeholders.
• Strong financial modeling and analytical skills.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal abilities, particularly in a remote setting.
• Proficiency with real estate development software and project management tools.
• Ability to travel occasionally as required for site visits and key meetings.
• Experience in specific asset classes such as multifamily, office, retail, or industrial is a plus.
