Our client is a rapidly expanding real estate development firm seeking a visionary Lead Real Estate Developer to join their fully remote, high-performing team. This executive-level position will spearhead the identification, feasibility assessment, and execution of large-scale development projects nationwide. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of market dynamics, zoning regulations, financing structures, and construction management, coupled with exceptional leadership and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities:
- Source and evaluate new development opportunities across diverse real estate asset classes, including mixed-use, multi-family, and commercial properties.
- Conduct thorough site analyses, market research, and financial feasibility studies to support project viability.
- Negotiate purchase agreements, joint venture agreements, and other contractual documents.
- Oversee the entire development lifecycle, from concept and entitlement to construction and lease-up/sales.
- Manage relationships with architects, engineers, contractors, legal counsel, and government agencies.
- Secure project financing through relationships with lenders and equity partners.
- Develop and manage project budgets and timelines, ensuring projects are delivered on schedule and within financial parameters.
- Mitigate project risks through strategic planning and proactive problem-solving.
- Stay current with urban planning, zoning laws, and building codes in various jurisdictions.
- Mentor and guide junior development team members, fostering a collaborative and results-driven culture.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Real Estate Development, Urban Planning, Business, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
- 10+ years of progressive experience in real estate development, with a strong portfolio of successfully completed projects.
- Demonstrated expertise in financial modeling, pro forma development, and capital raising.
- Proven ability to navigate complex entitlement processes and public approvals.
- Strong understanding of construction processes, contract negotiation, and risk management.
- Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in real estate development software and financial analysis tools.
- Ability to travel as needed for site visits and key meetings.
- Adaptable and proactive approach to managing a geographically diverse portfolio.
