Job Description

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Benefits Administrator to manage their comprehensive employee benefits programs in St. Louis, Missouri, US . This role is responsible for the effective administration of health insurance, retirement plans, paid time off, and other employee benefits. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of benefits regulations, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to communicate complex information clearly to employees. You will be a vital resource for ensuring employees understand and utilize their benefits effectively.

Responsibilities:
  • Administer all employee benefits programs, including health, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, and retirement plans.
  • Manage the enrollment, modification, and termination processes for all benefits.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for employee inquiries regarding benefits coverage, eligibility, and claims.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal and state regulations, including ERISA, COBRA, and HIPAA.
  • Process benefit-related paperwork accurately and maintain employee benefit records.
  • Liaise with benefits providers and brokers to resolve issues and ensure service level agreements are met.
  • Assist in the annual open enrollment process, including communication and system updates.
  • Conduct new hire orientation sessions to explain benefit options.
  • Analyze benefits data to identify trends and recommend improvements to programs.
  • Stay current on changes in benefits legislation and industry best practices.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in employee benefits administration.
  • Thorough knowledge of various employee benefits plans (health, retirement, etc.) and relevant regulations (COBRA, HIPAA, ERISA).
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems and benefits administration software.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex information simply.
  • Experience managing relationships with third-party benefits vendors.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive employee information.
  • Highly organized and capable of managing multiple priorities effectively.
  • Familiarity with payroll integration for benefits deductions is a plus.
This position is based in our St. Louis, Missouri, US office, requiring on-site presence to effectively manage employee inquiries and vendor relations. We offer a competitive salary and benefits package.
